Welcome to baby cards
Hi, I'm Tony and I want to welcome
you to Baby Cards
As a graphic designer, I have
always enjoyed creating cards for special occasions and holidays.
When my son Zac was born, my wife
(Liz) and I decided to create a very special baby
thank you cards.
I'm a photography nut and we knew we wanted a picture of Zac on the
card. So I took some pictures, did some drawings and the result was our
first baby photo card. That first batchof birht cards, we printed
ourselves.
After spending several nights,
writing
messages, and addressing the cards, we sent them off. To our amazement,
the reaction from everyone was overwhelming. At this same time, many of
our friends were having their first child as well. They immediately
started asking us to create personalized birth
announcements and thank you
baby cards
for them. Everyone loved sending a baby photo card, especially to
friends and family that might not be able to see the baby right away.
In 2000, when we started, we had no
idea
how the idea would take off. By the time Jamie, our daughter was born,
we decided it was time to start selling our cards (up until then we had
given them to friends as gifts).
At the same time, we decided to
expand by introducing cards for other occasions like christening
invitations, naming day
cards, and birthday
invitations.
We decided that the first step was
to create a website, which would allow parents, like you, to produce
their own baby
thank you cards, birth
announcement cards, and baptism
invitations quickly and easily.
In 2009, we collaborated with
Digital Print Australia to improve the quality of the printing for our
thank you baby cards.
Between David, at Digital Print
Australia, and myself we have tried to produce special designs for you
to personalize. We think we have covered most occasions and messages
that you might need. However, we're always looking for new and better
